Allied's Magnetic Fastening System allows for easy cloth and abrasive changes using a magnetic fastening base and thin stainless steel support plates. Adhesive backing on the magnetic base adheres to the platen, while cloths or abrasive discs are adhered to the support plates.

Using this system, the magnetic base platen stays in place, while the support plates are quickly and easily changed during the grinding/polishing sequence. This eliminates the requirement for multiple platens or machines.
